A new hobby!

Often in my short career have I found myself pausing to think - am I doing this right? Its not out of the ordinary to wonder if one is alone in the kind of challenges that work brings. It makes me curious. I want to know how it is that the people I am influenced by do what they do successfully in the path they have chosen. This forms the basis of my new hobby.

I hope to bring to this blog insights into the everyday work life of my peers - both friends and family. I hope not to restrict myself to any field of work. I'm interested in learning what management principles they use, regardless of whether they are home-makers, doctors, engineers, farmers or even (god forbid) the mafia! My hypothesis is that practical management theory is intuitively and unknowingly applied by us all - some apply them better than others. I want to learn from those who apply it better.

This blog hopes to profile people in my circle of influence in the form of a weekly article. It is not important for me to give out specific personal information about the people I profile. But yes, you can look forward to being able to tag profiles of individuals to specific demographics.
